Keloid

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Keloids are the excess growth of scar tissue at the site of a healed skin injury.

Homeopathy firstly treats the tendency of keloid formation thereby seeing that no fresh lesions happens. It also stops the existing ones from growing in size.
Keloid:
We get a lot of patients who recently developed a keloid or who went for surgery to remove keloid but it came back again, coming to us asking if we can help them.

How common are keloids:
Globally around 5 to 16% of people develop Keloids. They are more common in people with darker skin tone.

What is Keloid?
Keloids are scar tissue that forms on the body. A lot of us get hurt many times and it heals without leaving a scar, but there are people who get hurt and it leaves a scar, the scar does not go away, it keeps growing and results in keloid.

Some people have a tendency to develop keloids, which means they have a predisposition and are prone to develop keloids.

Keloids are most commonly seen on the chest. It starts as a small one, but it keeps growing and becomes big. It can also occur on the shoulder, ears, or anywhere on the body. Some people get keloids all over their body.

Causes of Keloid:
There are various situations where keloid can develop, it can develop after surgery or you get a pimple or boil and it heals but leaves a scar and that scar tissue goes on growing and multiplying. It does not know when to stop, that is what a keloid is. Keloids run in families.

We see a lot of people with huge keloids which come on it’s own. It can cause a lot of problems, it can cause severe pain, itching. It can also get infected and start oozing and bleeding.

I have a 65-year-old man who came to me after his cardiac surgery with a chest full of Keloids. He had severe pain, itching, discomfort and we have been able to help him.

Keloids can be very painful. Apart from the pain, keloids cause a lot of social stigma. It does not look good and does not make them feel good about themselves.

Allopathic approach:
In allopathy, they will give you a steroid injection or they will do plastic surgery and it goes away for some time. Within few months it comes back again. Your body has a tendency to develop keloids, so even if you get surgery, it will come back.

Homeopathic approach:
In my last 30 years of practice, I don’t know of any other system that can take care of keloids as homeopathy can. Keloids happen because your body has the tendency to develop them. You need to realize that it is very important to stop the process because unless you stop the tendency of keloids, whatever you do from outside, it will keep coming back.

Once you start on homeopathic medications for the first 3 to 6 months we focus on stopping the process which is causing keloids.

In about 40 to 50% of people, the keloid size comes down. Some people don’t respond but it is worth giving it a try because if you can stop the tendency, half of your problem is solved. At least you won’t get any new keloids and the existing ones will not grow.

Whether the keloid size comes down or not, the pain, itching, and the tendency can be taken care of with homeopathy.

What happens if you don’t treat keloids?
If left alone, the size of keloid keeps on increasing and sometimes results in severe pain and itching. Keloids get infected and start bleeding in some people.

Diet restrictions:
There are no diet restrictions to follow.

What would I do if I were in your place?
I would for sure not go for surgery or steroid injections. I know that I am not risking anything by giving Homeopathy around 3 to 6 months to try and get rid of keloids permanently. In 70% of the people, it succeeds and we are able to help them.

Do not go for surgery until you have given Homeopathy a try for at least about three to six months. Give it a try. What is your other option? Frankly, you don’t have another option. Give homeopathy a try. If these medicines can help you avoid steroid injections and take care of your tendency to develop keloids, isn’t it worth giving it a try?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][tm_contact_form_7 id=”2534″][tm_heading tag=”div” custom_google_font=”” font_style=”italic” align=”center” text=”Your email address will not be published.” css=”.vc_custom_1540454250212{margin-top: 20px !important;}”][tm_spacer size=”lg:60″][tm_box_icon style=”3″ icon_type=”fontawesome5″ icon_fontawesome5=”far fa-map-marker-alt” custom_border_color=”#d4d2d2″ border_style=”dashed” heading=”Location” text=”Bahria Town, Lahore, Pakistan” button=”|||” lg_spacing=”margin_bottom:30;border_bottom:1;padding_bottom:30″][tm_box_icon style=”3″ icon_type=”fontawesome5″ icon_fontawesome5=”far fa-phone-plus” custom_border_color=”#d4d2d2″ border_style=”dashed” heading=”For Appointment” text=”Via Phone Call & Whatsapp
