It commonly occurs in skin where there are more oil secreting glands or what we call as sebaceous glands like face, upper part of the chest and back.
Acne is an age related problem . we have been able to not only stop pimples from coming up but we have also been able to help patients get rid of their scars.
Pimples or acne
All of us have gone through pimples or acne at some or the other point in our childhood and teenage, most of us are lucky to get away with a few of them but there are few unfortunate ones who go on having acne not only in their teenage but also in adulthood. Some people suffer from acne even in their 40s.
We get a lot of people with recent acne breakouts as well as those who have been taking allopathic medications asking if we can help them.
How common is acne:
Globally around 645 million people suffer from acne. In World, Females are more prone to acne than males.
What is acne:
Acne is eruptions that come on the face, forehead, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. There are different types of acne. They can be small or big, single or multiple, pus-filled, painful, and thick.
What does acne do? In few people, it causes a little bit of itching and pain, but most of the time it does not bother, it is the way it looks that is the problem and in a lot of people acne leaves scars that can remain for the rest of their lives.
Allopathic approach:
You go to a dermatologist, they will diagnose it as acne. They will put you on antibiotics and some external creams. And as long as you are using these medicines your skin is better but once you stop them, it is back to square one. If antibiotics don’t help, they put you on hormones but once you stop the hormones, your acne is back again. Hormones have horrible side effects, over some time you won’t be able to take them.
Homeopathic approach:
In homeopathy, we believe that acne happens because something is happening inside your body. How can you treat it externally? Until you stop what is causing acne from the inside, how will you cure your acne?
Our medicines stop the process that is happening inside your body, it can take three to six months or longer depending upon the cause.
Why does acne happen? The cause could be your stomach, hormones or it can be hereditary. Acne can run in the family.
A lot of people have a habit of picking acne and playing with them. If you do that, it will leave a scar, so leave it alone.
As we treat you, if we get to know that you have PCOD or if it’s a hormonal imbalance that is causing acne, we take care of the Pcod, hormonal issues and that takes care of your pimples.
Our aim is to give you medicines to stop new ones from coming up. Once you start the medications within a few months the new ones stop coming up, old ones will slowly disappear, and they will be taken care of. If you have scars, we can take care of the scars also.
People who are already on allopathic medication:
We make them stop their allopathic medication and we ask them to take Homeopathy for three months. Most people respond in about two to three months, there are some people that take a longer time to respond.
What happens if you don’t treat acne?
If left alone, the acne increases and it will reach a stage where it leaves a lot of scars on your face.
Diet restrictions:
Drink a lot of water, coconut water, buttermilk.
Avoid too much of oily food, chocolate, cheese, pastries, ice creams. If you feel that after eating a particular food your acne is increasing, you avoid that food. I am not the one to tell you what you should avoid.

Externally try not to pick the pimple.
What would I do if I were in your place?
I would for sure not start on antibiotics or hormonal pills, I know that I am not risking anything by giving Homeopathy around 3 to 6 months to try and get rid of acne.
Do not start on any antibiotics or hormones until you have given Homeopathy a try for at least about three to six months. Trust me, nothing is going to happen to you in these three to six months’ time. But if these medicines can help you avoid the side effects of hormonal pills and get rid of acne and acne scars permanently for the rest of your life, isn’t it worth giving it a try?
