How common are recurrent boils?
Around 8 to 10% of people suffer from recurrent boils, they are more common in females than in males.
What happens in recurrent boils?
We all get a boil on the body at some point or the other. It comes and goes away, we don’t really care about it. What if you go on getting these boils every few weeks or months? There are many areas where boils can occur repeatedly. Boils can occur in your underarms, buttock region, thighs, scalp or other parts of the body.
I am not talking about one of those boils which come and go. I’m talking about the boils which come and go, come back again and the cycle goes on.
Allopathic approach:
Every time you get a boil you go to the doctor, he will give you an antibiotic. You take the antibiotics, the boil goes away, but within two to three weeks you get a boil again, you take antibiotics again, the cycle goes on, how long will you take antibiotics?
You need to understand that every time you take an antibiotic, it increases the heat in the body and excessive heat in the body is one of the reasons why you are getting recurrent boils. So, you are only adding on to the problem, you are not curing the problem.
What we also need to understand is, recurrent boils is a tendency, which means the body has a tendency to go on forming boils, antibiotic will take care of the bacterial infection. But how will it take care of the tendency?
Homeopathic approach:
Homeopathy has fantastic medicines to take care of this tendency, which means it will stop the process that is happening in the body. I’m not saying that once you start homeopathic medicines, you won’t get boils from the next day. If you are getting boils once in two weeks, you will get it once in a month, two months, or three months, the intensity and frequency will come down and over a period of time, they stop coming.
What happens if you don’t treat recurrent boils?
If left alone, the frequency of boils increases, and you will reach a stage where you will have to get them drained.
People who are already on allopathic medication:
We make them stop their allopathic medication and ask them to take Homeopathy for three months. Most people respond within two to three months.
Diet restrictions:
Drink a lot of water, buttermilk, coconut water, and include a lot of vegetables. Cut down on chicken and avoid anything that causes excess heat in the body.
If you are constipated, take care of your constipation by taking some natural medicines or homeopathic medicines.
There is not much you can do about recurrent boils, this is a tendency that has to go with medications and homeopathy can definitely help.
What would I do if I were in your place?
I would for sure not start any allopathic medications. I know that I am not risking anything by giving Homeopathy around 3 to 6 months to try and get rid of boils permanently.
When you are diagnosed with recurrent boils always try Homeopathy before you take antibiotics. Trust me, nothing is going to happen to you in these three to six months.
