By the term wounds, we usually mean an injury in which the skin is cut or broken.
Main remedies:
CALENDULA
Calendula is the remedy which is to lacerated wounds while Arnica is for bruises.
The reaction to a wound may seem exaggerated in regard to the severances of the injury with marked weakness.
Pain worse form motion and better from staying still. (Bry)
The injured part is sensitive to touch.
HYPERICUM
Hypericum is indicated where we have wounds to parts that are rich in nerves like tips of fingers and toes, genitals, tongue and coccyx.
The wound does not have to be open for Hypericum to be administered. What is characteristic is the sharp and shooting quality (like of the pains.
LEDUM
Ledum is mostly known for its action on stings and bites, but also for its action on wounds especially if they are of a punctured (like from an object that pierced the skin) or lacerated type.
Pains are shooting upward and are characterically better by icy cold applications.
STAPHISAGRIA
Cutting wounds that don’t heal easily. Pain in the surgical cut remains long after the surgery.
