The Real Essence of Treatment: It’s More Than Just Medicine
Many of us are unaware of what true treatment involves or what should be the desired outcome of a treatment. How do we assess if treatment has been successful or not?
Almost all patients believe that treatment is simply about taking medications. They consult doctors for a few health issues, whether they are seeing an allopathic doctor, a homeopath, or an herbalist. Based on test reports or some symptoms, medicines are prescribed. If medical reports improve (even if the person is still emotionally disturbed) or some discomfort reduces, patients continue taking the medications, and both the practitioner and the patient feel content, believing that the treatment is working.
However, what often happens is that while one issue may reduce, several other ailments may surface. This leads to consultations with new doctors, and gradually, the number of medications increases.
Our Treatment Approach: Different and Unique
Whether it’s homeopathy, allopathy, herbal medicine, spiritual healing, or anything else… if a patient’s life and daily routine do not improve through treatment, then it’s simply about taking medicine. This cannot be called true treatment.
I strive to look at every aspect of my patients’ well-being. I consider their physical, emotional, mental, and psychological health, as well as their personal, family, and professional life improvements, as part of the treatment process.
From day one, I make it my goal to guide my patients toward a medicine-free life as soon as possible. I want them to enjoy the joys of life and make the most of Allah’s blessings. In our treatment approach, we also advise on avoiding harmful habits and encourage a balanced diet, enjoying healthy food in moderation.
I put in every possible effort to resolve all of my patients’ issues, whether temporary, new, or old. A patient’s problem becomes my problem too.
How to Assess the Success of Treatment?
The true outcome of treatment should be visible when the patient’s pain or illness starts improving noticeably. Their life begins to transform. You will see improvements in their mood, eating habits, sleeping patterns, social interactions, relationships, work life, household affairs, financial stability, self-confidence, courage, and overall abilities. In short, they should start becoming the person they once were, before the onset of the illness or discomfort. This is the ultimate improvement.
If such positive signs do not begin to emerge, then simply having test reports improve or experiencing temporary relief from pain or discomfort may not lead to lasting benefits. In fact, the individual may become further disturbed.
Patient Feedback: A True Reflection of Successful Treatment
To understand the correct results of treatment, here is some feedback from a patient:
“Dr. Hussain Kaisrani, Hello! My medicine is almost finished, and I am feeling amazing! My sleep is great, my appetite is excellent, and my energy levels are high. Alhamdulillah, I’ve had a wonderful Ramadan. I’ve even started exercising, and I finally have the energy and motivation to do so. My gums and teeth were swollen, but I dealt with it with home remedies, and the problem is now resolved.”
This feedback shows that treatment leads to feelings of elation, happiness, peace, and gratitude. When a patient’s life becomes peaceful, they naturally adopt healthy habits in their routine. Instead of seeking new doctors or more medications for new issues, they begin to find solutions themselves.
